Psalm 34:18
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
God’s heart is close to those who are hurting and broken. When Jesus encountered people in need, His compassion was never passive but always moved Him toward loving action. We ask God to help us notice the needs around us and to respond in ways that reflect His care, kindness, and generosity.
Prayer Prompt
Lord, help me notice those in need and respond with compassion.
